Immerse yourself in the vibrant and energetic sights and culture of Sydney’s CBD, and then come back to the comfort and luxury of this grand, two-bedroom apartment with architect-designed pavilion and rooftop terrace. Situated opposite The Domain and across the road from St. Mary’s Cathedral and Hyde Park, it offers immediate access to the city, while providing a private and peaceful sanctuary to relax and escape. This stunning residence is the ideal choice for executives, couples or families looking for luxurious accommodation in the heart of Sydney.

An integral part of this property’s attraction is the private rooftop terrace and pavilion. With a dynamic design that plays with the concept of true indoor/outdoor living, this captivating space is equipped for lavish entertaining just as suitably as it is for private reflection and relaxation. The architect-designed pavilion features 360º windows and floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall glass, with doors that slide back to connect with a spacious entertainer’s terrace. With a full second kitchen, as well as a gas fire pit and outdoor heaters, retreat up here for alfresco meals that linger long into the night, or to enjoy the afternoon sunshine from the comfort of a lounge.

Though Sir John has been aesthetically styled to perfection with high-end appointments and elegant furnishings, the main apartment has been conceived with comfort in mind. Conjuring warm and relaxed vibes, the sumptuous living room sets the scene for cozy evenings spent relaxing in front of the open fireplace. Or head to the study and curl up with a book from the library. Whip up a culinary storm in the designer, mod-industrial kitchen and then choose from casual dining in the kitchen, or a more formal setting in the dining room.

Offering comfortable living and accommodation for up to four people, two deluxe bedrooms with built-in wardrobes are each serviced by immaculate bathrooms with exquisite marble detailing. The comprehensive list of modern conveniences also includes ducted air-conditioning, Wi-fi and Foxtel, as well as a secure parking space.

The Neighbourhood

Nestled right within the heart of the magical city of Sydney, there’s much that can be accessed on foot. Studded with historic buildings and home to the now-famous Harry’s Café de Wheels, Wooloomooloo itself is a gentrifying and lively gateway to the city, with easy access to the casino and Darling Harbour. Take a stroll along the restored Wooloomooloo Bay Wharf, which presents spectacular views of the Sydney skyline; catch a play at The Old Fitzroy Hotel; or choose from a dizzying number of revered restaurants like Riley Street Garage, just steps away.

Wonderful home within walking distance to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour and CBD. Our family of four stayed here for a week and it was the perfect property for our needs. The house was very spacious, with the living areas well appointed and comfy, the kitchen is setup with top end appliances, and the bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We were travelling a long way (from Canada), had a full itinerary for the week we were in Sydney and we knew we didn’t want to have any issue with accommodations. Of all the choices available in Sydney, one of the main factors in choosing this property was seeing that it had professional management. Laura at the Scout Group did not disappoint. She prepared the property to 5-star standards and made us feel very welcome. From top quality linens that provided a comfortable sleep to fluffy bath towels, Laura’s attention to detail is what we have experienced at the best hotels around the world. We recommend this house if looking for a property in the Sydney centre, and would highly recommend any property that Laura and the Scout Group is involved with.
